For some people, Korea and Japan are often undistinguishable in many ways. However, though the countries are juxtaposed, there are many aspects that differ, from their living environment and way of thinking to their attitude toward culture.
Koreans use certain words to describe themselves. For exemple, Koreans are said to have a lot of jeong(정). This is a difficult word to translate;affection, sympathy, compassion, love-the list goes on, but it is difficult to pin down.
Traditional dances can be divided into court dances and folk dances. Since the court dances aimed to glorify the court and pray for a long life for the king, they were invariably solemn and accentuated by elegant choreography.
